Re: Joe Hart
He's done alright thus far.

Not being good enough for the most expensive team in history is not that much of a criticism

Re: Joe Hart
It's not even that he's not good enough - he just isn't the sweeper keeper that Guardiola wanted.

Sven Roeder 9:49 Thu Sep 28
Re: Joe Hart
Guardiola has a very specific style as said and requires a particular type of keeper.
Hart is never going to be that player.

Or the keeper that can save anything down to his left it seems.

done nothing yet to justify his signing

Re: Joe Hart
Hasn't shown anything yet to suggest he is any better than Adrian, and certainly not worth his Man City wages of something like 150k, I think? I thought the big difference would be communication, but it doesn't seem to have helped with the defence so far.

Different class to Adrian, get real.

No, he is not. Perfectly real thanks.

Re: Joe Hart
I think this paragraph sums up the whole situation:

"This makes one wonder if Hart was scouted at all by West Ham. Did a club with an unbecoming thirst for headlines, led by David Sullivan and David Gold, the club’s co-chairmen, choose to sign a player who had excelled in making mistakes over the past year, merely on the basis of reputation?"

Yes. Yes they did.

While they stag off Hart's time in Italy, it's worth pointing out that Hart made some spectacular saves, practically earning Torino points by himself.

Re: Joe Hart
Not at fault for any of the many goals conceded, that alone puts him in front of Adrian. He tries not to chuck the ball in.

Re: Joe Hart
Better keeper than Adrian but, and it's a big but, as many said at the time, if you have a limited budget the incremental improvement against cost would be greater by investing the same elsewhere

Also, let's not forget, the bloke is on a years loan, so after June we either buy at further investment or end up with finding another asAdrian will be off

All in, not the shrewdest of deals was it?

Re: Joe Hart
I think you are all missing the point. Our owners got Hart on loan and they also got 5mil for Randolph, Quids in.That is all they think about.

Re: Joe Hart
I don't think he's better than Adrian. He's English, if he wasn't, we would never have heard of him.

Re: Joe Hart
Truth is the owners live in this Fucking bubble when players were cheaper and better

They have not set their internal clocks to next level

They live in the past

Senile CUNTS

Re: Joe Hart
Adrian is a more spectacular keeper who will save you points - but prone to errors.

Hart is free from errors but not very special at shot stopping. Seems a bit slow to be honest.

Re: Joe Hart
Quite clear he's no good down low and poor to his left.

This is not good for a PL goalkeeper.

Good at pointing and shouting, however.

Re: Joe Hart
Was happy with his signing and to be fair he hasn't stood out due to mistakes, he also hasn't stood out due to doing anything special. Just seems a bog standard goal keeper who doesn't do anything rash. Looking back on other keepers we've had while struggling near the bottom, the likes of Ludo, Rob Green, even Dave James all looked of a different level to Hart. Given his history & reputation he's definitely been a disappointment so far.

Re: Joe Hart
There's a few goals he's let in I recon Adrian would have saved.

Re: Joe Hart
Average keeper so far. We have seen far more of Adrian but so far I would put him ahead of Hart. Adrian is prone to the odd rickett but is more agile IMO and faster off his line to make blocks.

A loan signing we could have applied to more urgent areas of the team in hindsight.

Re: Joe Hart
I dislike the self-assured way he always kicks the ball straight to the opposition.

I'd rather he was less confident and more accurate.

Not sure how you know Adrian would have saved them, but you could also say he saved a few shots that Adrian would have let in.

Swings and Roundabouts!
